My Name is Kim Newhouse. I am the special education para at Arrowhead School.

I began working in early education as an instructional para at the preschool level in 2007. I continued working with very young children in different positions until 2014. I really enjoy working with this age group. As a parent of 5 boys, I found it to be a great fit. I focused on learning differences and created learning opportunities to suit each unique style.

From 2015 to 2017, I worked in miscellaneous behavioral support positions. I worked with various ages, in and out of school environments to support clients’ emotional needs and increase emotional regulation.

From 2018 to present, I have worked as a special education paraprofessional in the K 4/5 and 1st grade setting. I work one to one with students within the special education and co-op dept to fully support students needs.

I find joy and fulfillment in building safe relationships with students and working to enrich their learning experience. I continue to use all of my past experience to fully support students with unique needs.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family hiking, biking, and traveling.
